This blog is about creativity: my own, and that which inspires me. The beauty of nature, and the alchemy of other people, all of which I love.
I've been overflowing with ideation for a while, but my production is not keeping up. Thought maybe having a place to document my progress might be the boost I need.
So that's it.
I'm going to leave that last post up as a lesson in what happens when I post on the fly because I want to get something up/I'm crazy busy at work and want a break. Or worse, both.

Overdue introduction
I haven't posted here in way too long, mostly because I've been avoiding the dreaded 'intro' post. The one that lays out what this blog is about, and what I'm planning to post here. Everything I wrote trying to explain the name either felt overblown or inadequate. And I don't want to paint myself into a corner about the content.
So, what am I doing here?
Beauty – seeking to appreciate the beauty in the outside world and create some of my own.
Love – cultivating an open and loving heart as an act of revolution in cynical times.
Alchemy – externally: displaying my own handwork with glass, metal, fabric and other materials; internally: working to transform my own self into something higher.
Truth – hoping to bump into some along the way. I used to wonder whether Keats or Einstein had the better insight; I've since realized they were both saying the same thing.
Whew. Now that the awkward intro is out of the way, I can get on with it.
